Agonda (Canacona) is a serene fishing village fringed with palms and casuarinas...

This village is famous for its immaculately clean Agonda beach which can be reached by buses from Chaudi (Canacona). Get down at the T-junction near St. Anne's Church (Agonda). When on the beach, be prepared to be awed by Mother Nature's endowments. Swimming here might not be advisable but you can see some of
the world's oldest rocks along the three-km stretch of this pristine beach.

The Canacona taluka has around 57 percent forest area and Agonda is not an exception. It is home to India's largest butterfly the Southern Birdwing.
